After working the registration table at the Friends of the Forgotten Road Ride in Norristown, Lois and I headed out to meet Russ and then ride to Middletown, NY for the NJ/NY BBQ. Now that I'm "semi-retired" It is really great being able to attend the different district functions.
We were a little late arriving to the BBQ but most of the people were still there. As always, it is nice seeing these ladies and catching up on more of Gloria's stories. It was especially nice seeing Tonie H. ... the last time we visited her in rehab after heart surgery. She sure is one tough lady! It was nice meeting some new ladies.
Ronnie and Vince had invited us to spend the night. I volunteered to sleep on the sofa and had a visitor a few times during the night - one of the dogs! She would come over a smell around my face, nudge my hand to pet her, and then put her had down on my chest. The next morning we enjoyed coffee on the deck and visited with Ronnie's mother Harriet.
Unfortunately, I had forgotten my camera and have no pictures to post. It was a great weekend.
